About
As a child, I raised myself on Monty Python, SNL and “Are You Being Served?”.
Originally from Michigan, I pursued acting in high school, commuted to Chicago on weekends for improv training in the late ‘90s, then began my professional career in New York around 2010, focusing on sketch and stand-up.
In past lives, I’ve been a barista, massage therapist, independent talent music booker (goth, industrial, punk, indie), 2nd AD, production coordinator, stage manager, receptionist, assistant account executive (marketing/advertising), office manager/HR/IT tech, radio dj and more. I’ve also been on a bombed plane (TWA flight 840, April 2, 1986).
I enjoy seeking knowledge, bowling, traveling, weird/dark history, finding the best hot chocolate in a new city I’m exploring, gaming (console, multiplayer shooter, board games), and creating stuff. Lover of solitude.
Personally, I’m affable, warm, giving, can talk to just about anyone about anything. As I don’t drive, I meet a lot of people through ride sharing which helps me get to understand others. It does get challenging holding my tongue if they have extreme views. I can have an unfiltered charm people don’t expect.
On my shadow side, I don’t always hide my feelings if I think someone is being a jerk, taking advantage of me, or others. I can be sharp tongued, cold, and unrepentant.
News
In 2024, I self-booked a few small theatrical gigs, including the role of a comedically drunk mother at her kid’s birthday party, a cop, and love interest.
In March, I had a mini vacation in Edinburgh then London to get new headshots. I created a fun itinerary of day trips, underground tours, vintage shopping and a weak attempt at a hot chocolate cafe crawl.
In July, I booked a commercial for a Canadian client which took me to Poland for an intense week. The days were very long, sleep was little, but I loved it. I loved waking up to a beautiful sunrise in the old town, being surrounded by history and kind co-workers. It was necessary that I switch emotions very quickly and the clients were impressed. Update: the spot won’t air as the client felt it was a little far out.
